Nice shot with excellent details, Gaurav--I think that male Anna's can give some pretty ferocious stares for such a tiny bird, and you've captured it well here. I think that if this was mine I would go a little looser on the crop.

Nice detail in the feathers. The iridescence is well shown. I always like the way a tight crop gives that larger than life feeling to hummers.

Excellent, Gaurav. It looks like you got the "Nick Saunders" edition of this lens. This is incredibly crisp. I agree with Brian that the crop might be just a touch looser. :toast:

Excellent detail Gaurav and with enough dof to get most of the bird in focus even though it's only 5.6

cheers

Great color and detail in this shot Gaurav. I like it all, but it would feel better to me if you gave the bird a bit more room. Well done.

Very nice shot Gaurav....can't believe this little hummer sat so still for you. To get him at 1/40 with no motion blur is very nice. I see it allowed you to use mirror lock up which certainly kept this so sharp! nice colors also. My only nit is a little too tight for my taste on the comp.

Superb detail, Gaurav. Great pose with nice eye contact and I like that diagonal perch.

You've captured some very nice detail in the hummer. Some nice iridescence on the head and a bit on the throat. Crop does feel a bit tight. Any chance of bringing the tone on the background down a little?

Very nice. A little more room is my only suggestion.

We don't have these birds here in the UK but I don't tire of seeing them on this forum. I really like the close up in this image it makes a change from the flight shots.Detail is superb. Graham

I'm glad you got the lens and apparently like it Gaurav. I can see why, if this image is any indication of your results so far. I'd have probably cropped this slightly looser too but I can certainly see the draw of showing this nice detail up close.
