Vernal Falls, Yosemite NP, October 2009
1/6 sec at f/22, ISO 100, polarizer
Nikon D80, 12-24mm DX lens

I was drawn to the shape of the foreground waterfall which closely resembles the shape of the dome in the background. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I really like the low perspective, and one of the first things that struck me was the balance between the lower falls and the dome. Much to like about this photo

Nicely done Scott, I also like the low perspective, haven't seen one like this before :toast:

Very cool and different image of this waterfall. Usually there is about a billion gallons of water going over. Your comp leads me right through the image.

very pretty - the eye just flows from tthe top of the falls to the fg. My only nit is that the comp feels cropped a little too tight at the top - wishing for a little more space above the peak.

Scott,

Great composition and capture of the falls (both of them!) I see the resemblance of the shape of the smaller falls and the dome. Great color and handling of the light/exposure. I would have to agree with the others about wishing for more room up top, but that's minor.

And this is an image you certainly wouldn't get in May or June eh?
