Indomitable

Hi guys Happy new year 2010

I begin this new year bringing to you this autumn image from the northern part of Glaciares Nat Park in Argentina. When we arrived to the area the mountains were completely hidden but after half an hour we had the opportunity to take some photographs of the cerro chaltén with the clouds around

I like the atmosphere of indomitable mountains that shows the photograph, what's your opinion?

Thanks

RAW image, Canon EOS 1D MKIIN, Canon EF 100-400 f/4,5-5,6L IS USM, hand held, ISO 200, f/8.

This is fantastic, Roberto. At this size, there appears to be some compression issues, but I am sure at full resolution this would knock my socks off. I like the lighting and the somewhat veiled peak. Excellent work!!

This is a beautiful image. One problem I have, however is that the brightness at the top draws my eyes from the mountains. I would like this image better if that were darkened a little.

wonderful image roberto! Maybe darkening the upper part you would avoid the eye being drawn away from the peak though! easy correction for an already outstanding shot! Feliz año!!

Great atmosphere. I agree on the bright spot but think it would be an easy enough fix. Even a crop works. :toast:

Almost looks like ocean waves crashing over the mountains. Epic.

Those conditions are incredible, as is that powerful mountain. The extreme brightness at the top does compete for my attention though.

Hi Roberto. Excellent shot that perfectly conveys the terrible weather these mountains are known for but I agree about the upper part of the picture. Maybe a slight cropping could solve this. Un abrazo campeón! Me alegra verte por aquí.

Wonderful image that shows a lot of mountain drama. But the thing I like most about it is how it almost looks like a gigantic ocean swell with a wave crashing behind!

It kinda looked like an ocean at first glimpse. What a rugged looking scene. I prefer it with the bright top part cropped out.

Epic! A bit washed out though and I could not tell you how to fix that. Well seen.

A striking image, Roberto! I am of the same opinion as Dan... the top ultra bright area distracts my eye. The comp and feel of the whole image is not at all diminished if a crop off the top is made. Overall a wonderful image that feels like an ocean meets the rocky shoreline type of scene. :toast:
