WC#411 Blue Sky Serenity

by Carol Nichols

This photo was taken on a summer morning under a beautiful bluebird sky. If there had been a fabulous sunrise or beautiful clouds, there would have been a long line of photographers at this famous location. But under bluebird skies, I had the place all to myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent here alone as it allowed me to soak in the serenity and beauty of this amazing spot.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Aside from needing a CCW rotation, this shot is great. Happy to see you were able to get the full reflection of the evergreens in the bottom of the frame.

Carol, very nice shot of this icon. I'm guessing this is a few years old, since the pine bark beetles have wroguth their destruction on this scene the last time I was there 2 yrs ago.

Actually there's one cloud in the far distance
I'm just giving you a hard time, Carol--this is a real nice shot, not only did you ditch the crowds but you also captured the scene as it more commonly appears, which can be a big plus in the real world beyond the internet

The only thing really bad about this photo is it was not taken with a Nikon (grins).

I get a subliminal feeling of a very slight tilt to the right? If shared, you might experiment with lowering the left side slightly using the trees for vertical or the reflected mountain peaks with the real peaks as vertical measure.

I like a lot.
