Nikon D300, Nikkor 70-200 2.8 @102mm. F/8, 1/125sec, ISO 250.
I liked the sculpted reflections on the water, they harmonize with the sculpted ice edge. Comments appreciated.

I like the texture and shape of the ice, especially the pattern on the edge. The reflection of the tree's add great color and contrast to the ice.

Albert,
This is a very interesting shot! I would recommend cropping it to a square so the ice line goes through the middle of the frame, and the ice leads towards the two corners. I think this would eliminate the distracting imperfection in the ice on the left side and make this composition more dynamic by creating tension in the top left and bottom right corners. The sweeping diagonal line of ice works great to lead the eye through the frame!

Albert,
This is wonderful! The icy, silvery tones throughout really give this a winter look and feel (the ice forming on the lake helps too. ) I really like the curve and the form created by the line of ice. For me though, almost more intriguing are the textured reflections up top. I am wondering and hoping you were able to get more images that showcase those reflections more. As captured though, I think this is a terrific capture. Well done!

Very nice Albert, good eye to catch this. I like the ice leading into the reflected trunks in the bg. I like the idea of a crop from the left to remove where the ice looks like its melting.
Nice work.

Neat composition Albert. I like the mood of the image and I don't really have any suggestions for it. I like the balance between the ice and the reflections as composed. Beautiful work for my tastes.

Kind of an abstract within and abstract. Cool!

Nice combo of elements for sure, Albert. I prefer this to the wider view of the earlier version. More abstract, but still very real.

Cool abstract here Albert and I love the tree reflections in this image. I agree with Kevin about the crop from the left to remove the melted area of ice.

Those reflections are real nice. Very well composed. The only thing I'm not certain of is whether the bottom 1/5 or so is in sharp focus. You could probably lose it in a crop and still have an excellent image.

Very interesting study of textures Albert, love it! I do think I prefer it with the left cropped to eliminate the irregularity in the ice - that leaves you with a more graphical and clean abstract, which I think works really well here.

Very nice indeed Albert, really like the curves of the ice and the colorful reflections of the trees in the open water. Beautifully seen and done.

The fingers along the curvature of ice and the reflections of the trees make for a nice image.

Yes, this is the crop I thought of suggesting in your previous image. That was the heart of the matter.

good eye to catch this. I think the melting ice to the left adds a point of interest on the ice shelf. Ice looks a little soft (no pun intended) at the lower water/ice interface, but no big deal really. Nice shot.

Great job Albert, Amazing what a change of perspective can do. This is way more graphic and appealing than its wider cousin. Glad you got a closer one. Nice job

This is fantastic. I love the textures and lines. I agree with a crop from the left. Then it's perfect.
