Great Fountain Sunset

From this years trip to Yellowstone......this storm just cleared enough to offer a pretty dramatic sunset. When the geyser erupts it is almost 200 ft tall....rest of the time just steams....especially in the cold of late sept.

Roman,

What a fantastic sky - great colors and even more so, great contrast. I love the smaller and brighter clouds up front; they actually help create some depth in the sky. The foreground pool and little bit of steam are interesting enough, but it's the sky that really makes this for me.

I agree with Lon that it's the sky the really holds my attention here. The water reflection is quite nice too. Just a thought, but maybe paint the reflection at the bottom edge black and just let the "pool" reflection reflection focus in the frame.

That's a really beautiful sky. This works very well for me all around. Just scrolled down and say Tony's suggestion . . . that could really put this over the top.
