Aspen Path

Well I thought I'd get an aspen shot in before there is a "populus" revolt

Although there wasn't much foliage to speak of in Acadia this year we found a pretty little grove of aspens to play in for a while. I was drawn to this arrangement and then noticed the subtle path between the trees, probably a game path of some sort.

I like the subtle path. It draws you in to the forest in a quiet manner. Thanks. Joe.

Great comp dude! I like that one red leaf in the foreground. Just a touch of autumn color!

This is a sweet comp! I really like the grass patterns in the foreground and the red leaf is a fine topper to the image. Nicely done.

The patterns of the grass really make this for me. I could even use a little less on top, the grass patterns are so cool.

Masterful composition and I like the wind blown grasses full of fallen autumn leaves. This will make a lovely big print.

Kurt,

This is right my alley with some aspens that I can understand and appreciate.

The path is subtle, yet important to the overall flow and comp to the image. The light is also rather subdued, but works well. I'm also enjoying the positioning of all the trunks and I think overall, this is an excellent aspen image. The grasses are a solid foundation and of course the red leaf is a great touch. Nice work.

A very subtle and thoughtfully composed image, Kurt. The impact of that solitary red leaf is what draws me to the pathway as it winds its way through the grove. Beautifully done!
