This rabbitbrush reminded me of a wave crashing against a rock with it's windblown branches.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

This is really nice, Morris. Good choice to limit the amount of the frame above the brush--in fact, I would even crop just a bit more off of the top to keep the focus more on that amazing brush in front. Very nice scene.

Way cool image, Morris. I love the earthtones in this scene along with the graceful lines of the bush. I can see why it would remind you of a crashing wave.

Wow, I like everything about this , Morris. The soft light, the graceful rabbitbrush, the grasses and plants to the left, even the tree in the URC. Subtle beauty, for sure. :toast:

My favorite from your series at RMNP.
I like how the background seems to gently fade out.

This is really nice, Morris. I don't think too many photographers would have had the eye to recognize that this little scene had photographic potential. I'm glad you did and created this wonderful image.

How do people see these things. I agree with the others that this is a fine image. The warm colors here are real plus.

Beautifully seen and captured. A really elegant rabbitbrush with great motion. The warm colors surrounding it make it pop out well. Some slight darkening around it particularly at the top might further enhance the effect.

Such beautiful and delicate textures in that brush, very nice Morris. The tree in the upper right detracts a bit for me, but I don't see a good crop.. perhaps there was a way to exclude it on site?

Very nice Morris.
It certainly evokes the idea of a wave.
I also enjoy the restrained palette.
Nice work

Morris,

I can certainly see your analogy of a crashing wave. While not quite as strong as your previous image of the rabbitbrush, this one is still excellent. I really like the little waves and details within the larger forms and set against a simple background. Not really a nit, but the tree in the UR is somewhat of a distraction, but not terribly so. But it's that tree that makes this one less strong than your previous post - if that makes sense.

I love the way you put this together. The lines of the rabbitbrush are great. The plant has such nice movement to it.

Very cool! I'm so used to rabbitbrush as a diminutive little shrub that I barely even recognized this for what it was. Very effective and well-seen.
