Virginia Creeper (w/ alternate)

Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) spilling across a rock face in the Shenandoah National Park. A stiff wind was blowing so I ramped up the ISO to give a faster shutter speed. The reds are as they came off the camera (and as they actually were); no saturation. All comments/suggestions much appreciated.

Looks solid to me in terms of composition, colors and that lichen infested rock. It really jumps at me -

There is a small red leaf portion sticking to the top edge around left. Use your artistic license if you wish.

Thanks Ram for the comment. I missed the leaf sticking in. Here's a version "sans" the leaf.

The reds really pop against that slate gray. Nice use of colors and the comp works with the arc. Nice "retouch", too.

Oh yeah, you can't beat that cool gray background to make the leaves pop. What makes this even better is that the rocks and lichens don't compete with the leaves, but it is really interesting exploring them after the brilliant color catches your eye. Excellent combination.

What a cool, colorful collection of creeper  Those eye-popping reds really stand out on the gray rocks. Great comp.

That red is crazy red... if this doesn't say autumn - nothing will!

Hi Philip :wavey: The bright red leaves against the lichen covered rock, make a very dramatic autumn presentation  Just alluring
