Cold Pink Morning

After a month stuck inside working on my thesis, this is my first photo shoot. The sky was clear everywhere but over the Divide allowing the sun to light up the clouds in a magical way. Two days previous we had received a fairly significant snowfall adding to this beautiful winter scene. Just before taking this picture, I broke through the snow and ice and filled my boot with water. I had to manage a strange perch on top of an icy and pointy rock to take this one, but I think it was worth it.
