First off, I have no idea how I caught this dude. He was bunched up in a bush overhanging Lake Dora. I had to slip into the lake and come at him from the deeper end of the bush. By all accounts, this snake really should've just slipped into the water, but with thanks to moderately cool air and relatively slow instincts, the snake waited too long to make his move. After climbing back up onto the dock, I took my series of photographs.
I like this one because of the temperature, more than anything. The background just had a really nice cool-blue vibe for me. And, as you can tell, I just adore these snakes. As the kids say, "they be kewl".
