Winter at Fire Wave

The Valley of Fire is just an hour north of Las Vegas, an easy drive for my numerous visits to Fire Wave, a somewhat hidden swell in the striped rocks in the Rainbow portion of the park. The winter clouds hung low, but at the last moments of sunset the sun burned through casting a shine on the red and white swirls.
