Point Sur Light

Rotating beams from the Point Sur lighthouse mark the Big Sur coastline. I was hiking up the trail from the bluffs overlooking Garrapata State Park when I noticed the distant beacon from the Point Sur Lighthouse miles away. Initially I thought only to capture a few handheld reference images. But the beauty of the scene compelled me to set up the tripod and remote shutter gear to frame a proper capture. Fellow photographer Joseph Roybal helped time the beacon for my 3 second exposures.
