Sacramento Delta Sunset

Went down to the flatlands yesterday evening to meet up with Tony Immoos for a shoot. The farmlands of the central valley are flooded this time of year and winter home for Egrets, Coots, and a variety of other waterfowl. Odd thing was, most of them didn't show until after the sun went down and then flew nearer the Mokulumne River toward the horizon of this shot.

Conditions were looking pretty good as I went in search of a decent comp. I like the remnants of these crops peeking up through the water. And then the skies blew up! It was very windy, but it was such an awesome evening and the good light lasted so long.
