Diamond head

It had been snowing for most of the morning when I took this shot of a little Japanese macaque, but it was not cold enough for the flakes to stay. As a result the fur of this young fellow was covered with what looked like thousands of little diamonds.

Shot in Japan.

Marsel

What a beautiful & intimate moment you captured of this little fella. Nice use of flash, anything more and I think you would have had a lot of specular highlights. Everything works, well done.

My style would be a composition with a lil less reflection.......but this isn't my shot :( (personal taste one would say).......

Anyways,
The techs are right on and it's awesome as presented!! Look forward to seeing more!! :toast:

Lovely jewel-like effect. You have captured his expression beautifully, I'm drawn straight to his bright eyes. Great capture, Marsel!

I like this little guy, particularly his expression - his eyes, the wet texture of his fur, and the reflection. Somehow your pictures are always colorful yet never overdone. And clever use of natural looking flash too. Wonderful picture...

Marsel, what an awesome image! That facial expression is priceless and so are the diamonds  For presentation purposes I would suggest to crop a bit off the bottom, the light spots that disturb the monkey's reflection are somewhat distracting IMO.

Btw I had a look at your website recently and must say I was highly impressed. Great work all round! :toast:
