Serengeti Haze

From my recent trip to Tanzania. I spotted this far away while my friends were all shooting animals. Couldn't resist.

Absolutely superb!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

This is magical Jeffrey. In my mind, this epitomizes what I think of when I think of Africa! A glorious capture.

PS - never thought of a 500 f/4 w/ 1.4 TC as a landscape lens, but it certainly worked nicely in this instance!

Great shot. Even without the zebras this would be spectacular, so they just add that extra bit of oomph.

Ove this shot - the depth that the different trees provide really put this into the WOW meter for me.... To bad those rodents are in the way....

Beautiful. I love everything about this image. If I were to nitpick I would recommend a minor crop from the top, but I think it works as is anyway. Excellent job.

Jeffrey,

Stunning image! Personally, I love the contrast between the silhouetted trees & haze on top of the shaded zebras. this is fantastic.

Absolutely gorgeous. Maybe pull a wee bit more out of the shadows in the bottom 6th but absolutely nothing else to say except classic and stunning.

This image is spectacular. I traveled to Tanzania four years ago, which is what first initiated my interest in photograpy (also started a love of travel). We climbed Kiliminjaro and did the safari after. I would have been absolutely thrilled to capture an image this good. Great mood and wonderful photo!

A fantastic image. I love the way the sun is barely hitting the heard of zebras while leaving the immediate fg relatively dark. That really helps to pull the eye through the image into those wonderful tree silhouettes. Excellent work!

Super shot Jeffrey, I too agree with Bill that I never thought to use the 500 as a landscape
lens. You have surely given me some inspiration and food for thought for my upcoming trip
to Yellowstone this September. I also have a 500mm and will try to incorporate a similar
use while there. I just hope the results are as stunning. Congrats!!!
