Great Horned Owlets- Last of the Series
by Kirk Greene
I took this image Sunday evening. It was very apparent they would not be in the nest much longer. There were several times it looked like one of them was ready to take flight as they ventured way out on the edge. Monday night or Tuesday morning they did just that as the nest now sits empty. I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing them over the past 1 1/2 months and have many, many wonderful images from 10 or so evenings I spent watching them. I hope you have enjoyed watching them grow and develop through my posts. All comments welcome.

Thanks for sharing.

I actually live in Beavercreek but put Dayton on my profile since most people are more aware of where that is.
Seriously, this photo is by far the best of the series -- nicely balanced and presented -- and a fitting end with the stars seemingly taking a bow before the curtain falls (sigh).
Awesome series! Each and every image has been wonderful! This one is no exception! Congratulations!
