Indian Vulture

I made this image today morning. When I saw this critically endangered vulture on the cliff I decided to play a bit with light and dark by choosing an appropriate angle. Made the image through un-lit foreground tree to create a kind of natural burning effect to balance the beautiful blue sky.

Image details - Nikon D300, Nikon 600mmf4+tc14e, slightly cropped.

As always thanks in advance for your views.

Excellent composition. n nice use of the foreground tree for the burning effect. the gradual fall of sharpness from top right n downwards to bottom left is also interesting

I coud have sworn that I had already commented on your image Ganesh, but apparently I was so lost for words that I forgot. This is one of my favorite bird shots from this year, so I'm happy it got an EP. Congrats! :toast:

Ah, I see here another potential entry into Art Wolfe's photo event, formerly called Environmental Photography Invitational. Called something else now and happening in July. I hope you give it a try. Congrats on the Pick, Ganesh!
