Firecrest

Sorry I haven't posted on Avian for a while - I have been very busy and find it difficult at times to be active on both UKNP and Avian.

I was pleased the other day when I managed to get a handful of nice images of Firecrest. This species is very scarce in the UK and I am lucky to have a small breeding population not too far from my home.

This is really nice David. For me it looks just a bit oversaturated though. I would also smooth out the soft lines in the Bg in front of the birds head. This is an awesome shot and just needs abit more post processing IMHO. :toast:

What a killer shot! An incredible bird, and I love the beek open pose you captured. Great b/g.
I might crop (or somehow clone) off the right side of the perch, seems to suddenly end and it catches my eye...but that aside this is an outstanding shot :toast: :toast:

Amazing photo David! The pose couldn't be any better - crest up, open beak, facing viewer, and you see the wings and back. I would pay to get a shot like this of a firecrest :toast: :toast: :toast:
