Markos,

This has a magical almost fantasy story feel to it. Wonderful! I even think the centered horizon works for this particular scene.

Well done! :toast:

Excellent shot Markos. I like the soft palette of colors for this sunrise.

Usually when I love a photo that I see here on Nature Photographers, I can stil find some critique or nit that might be useful or provocative. But here... well, I can't t think of a thing. You really have something special and perfect. Congratulations.

Yup, I'll jump on the praise wagon. This is wonderful, and all the pastel colors!

I too would like to know location and whether any filter(s) were used (I'm guessing a GND was used).

Markos,

very nice image. I love the pastel color and the line formed by the ice as it moves you into the image. Well executed.

Thank you for all the kind comments, its my favorite image to date.

The location is 2 winters ago on Lake Michigan South eastern Wisconsin. I used a 2 stop ND grad, and polarizer for this. I was low to the ground with the tripod.

Thank you again!
