# 317 Snail Meal Time

Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted February 9, 2008961 views10 comments

Didn't want Larry's snail to feel left out. Mine is dining on my purple queen. For such small creatures they have a voracious appetite! I was till in my shallow DOF days. It is absolutely amazing to watch them move from one object/leaf to another... reaching out and really stretching...

Thanks Barbara! Your snail is having a more nutritious meal than mine. We have a large population of these due to a neighbor that used to clean his aquarium outdoors. It's surprising just how much snail one of those small shells can hold!
Very nice image Barbara! (yours is serious work while mine is pure whimsy)

Barbara, This is the most artful snail I have ever seen. Your shallow DOF was right on, showing us the beautiful detail of these creatures that most people never notice.

Hi Barbara, I've looked at this image more than once. I would suggest just a bit of a crop from the top. What do you think?

Technically so well done, Barbara, and worthy of the Pick. Can't warm up to the subject, though. Pretty stuffy of me, I know...
