Since I haven't been doing much shooting these past two months, I have revisited some older shots. This one was taken about a year ago on the Ottawa river.
Nkon D70s, Sigma 10-20, probably a cokin G120.

I really dig this one. It has a very desolate yet dramatic feel to it. The conversion is perfect.

Awesome. Beautiful contrasts. The conversion accentuates the mood already present in the subject matter. Bravo.

You've batted this one out of the park! Probably your best shot IMO ... love the feel and atmosphere ... I guess you could darken the top part of the sky a bit more and add more drama!
Great work!

Younes: I wish I had taken this. One of the most evocative frozen water images I have ever seen. Your toned B&W presentation is masterful. Centering the trough is perfect - it is riveting. And the dark processing is perfect. Incredible. Wow.

Talk about ENGAGING AND STRIKING!! This image has both of those amazing qualities, and so much mood to it.
I feel like i am out in the middle of nowhere. The desolate and isolated nature to this scene is great. Fascinating vision, and capture!!!

Younes,
Incredible photograph. An alternative title could be called "Moodscape." I love the dark, erie feeling to this and the gap in the ice seems to go on forever, leading the viewer in to the depths of the unknown.
