Serenity

Gallery: LandscapePosted September 6, 20073,214 views52 comments
This is my 2nd post...
As the previous one, "Storm", this image was made in the same beach. I love dramatically weather, waves crashing at my feets and all the adrenaline that involve taking photographs in that situations, but sometimes a calm sunset like this one it is enough to make my day .
What do you think?

Comments & Critiques are welcome.

This is sublime Pedro! The texture of the coarse sand is so eye pleasing, and the shutter speed you chose is prefect to calm down the slight waves. Beautiful color in the water and sky. Very well done.

Welcome to NPN, Pedro.

Your title is quite apt. And the scene is very surreal.

I like the quiet feeling.

One of the better seashore scenes I've seen here in a while. Not many elements, but oh so nice and beautifully arranged.

A great example of "less is more". Simple, yet eloquent lines and colors. I've been sitting here studing the natural rhythm you've captured in this image far longer than I do with most other images. Exceptional work!

Give me calm, serene skies anytime Pedro. You've managed to capture an image of strength here with many subyle elements that fit together perfectly. I might desaturate the cloud a tiny bit.

I think this is an outstanding image Pedro. Excellent composition and shutter speed. Great clarity on the sand. There is a slight hint of lightness on the horizon on the left that maybe should not be there but overall this is a superb image. Hope to see more of your work soon.

Best,

Jose

Very beautiful seascape with just a few curving elements. I like sand grain textures like you have captured here. The composition here is fine as is as the Moon and darker sky work well. Cropping off the sky to a bit below the Moon also delivers an excellent composition with even better geometry and balance. ...David
