Two drips with a twist

I love water in almost any form as a subject, and curvy vines almost as much. The vine may be bitterweet. It's getting to be spring here - the crocuses are coming up, and I saw my first butterfly of the season...

Excellent eye Tom. I love the position in the frame and the sharpness of the water drops. That sigma 180 is something. I used it for all my butterflies last year.

Taboos comments are mine Tom - to reiterate this is a great image. The drops and tendril work in perfect harmony. I love this.

Wow, fantastic comp! I love looking into the water drops to try and see what they are reflecting.

Great sharpness and texture in this shot too. It feels a touch underexposed, but does give the impression it was taken under stormy skies.

Cheers,

Very interesting, I'd love to have seen an insect making it's away along the stick, that would complete the story, nice as is though...

Tom,

Great job of finding this scene and getting it captured so perfectly. Good job on the DOF, getting all in focus. It's the clarity that makes this image and that very complimentary background is also a major plus.

The eye of the photographer is the most important tool there is, here's the proof. Stunning macro Tom, simply impressive feeling, image and view. The twists and the drops make for one heck of a macro M8t.

All the best Tom and 10D, brilliant !! :toast:
