Vanishing Species

Gallery: Photo ArtPosted April 7, 20042,188 views8 comments

I may have posted this one quite a while ago, not sure now. I often wonder how it can be that so many species are lost so rapidly from this crazy world and so this image depicts my impression of rapid species loss...

Multiple images superimposed and maskes used to incorporate the green into the drying claypan patterns. A Northern Territory feel from Oz is depicted here.

Cheers

Mark, I really like this! IMO, one of the best to have appeared in this gallery in quite some time!

Very beautiful and effective. I wish I could see it larger (can't quite make out what's going on with the tree at this size). The merging works very well for me and although I've never been to Oz I feel a strong sense of "place" when looking at this.

Cool work

There are so many details in this that takes some effort to find everything in the image at this size..
