Bryce Kaleidascope 1

Bryce canyon as seen through a kaleidascope. I have 7 more so expect a series to come.

How did I do it you ask? I used a kaleidascope filter in Picture Window. The hard part was finding a good slice of the image to use. I was thinking of making a series of greeting cards on this theme, good idea or bad?

Wow - this is clever! I love it ... this would make one helluva a puzzle!

I don't use Picture Window - can you describe what you did in a little more detail?

I have an image of Bryce that I have been selling for a while. I started to play around with Picture Window, it was the editor I used before I could afford to buy PS. It has this transformation called Kaliedascope, where you fix the center point and then adjust a wedge's lenght and angle of coverage and then based on that it replicates what is in the wedge around the center point.

I have tried this with many of my images, and none seemed to produce anything interesting except for this one image of Bryce. Like I mentioned I made several of these, which I plan to post here in the coming days. SO look out for them.

I'd really be interested in seeing the original "slice" of the image. Any chance you could post a link to it?

Ana,

I wish I could, but in Picture WIndow, there is no real history of what was done especially after you quit an dsave the final image. I doubt I could even recreate this kaleidascope. Any slight adjustment to that slice wedge changes teh kaliedascope very much.

Though I am honored to be picked for this weeks Photo Art forum.

Very nice. Looks like a view upwards into a cathedral arch.

Extreemly origional, I love the repetative pattern, and the hints of green and pink near the middle.

I too must agree that at first I thought this was a cieling

Thanks for sharing
