I stumbled across this on hike in the woods.. It was pouring rain and then the sun came came out... and these beautiful fungi where sitting there radiating this beautiful rainbow like design...I am not sure if it was the time of the year or some other reason but I have never seen this fungi as colourful as this again...

Love it! This is soooo different from anything I've ever seen, and the fern just tops off the composition. Nicely done.

Really nice abstract! I can't believe the colors in the turkey tail fungus.

There's something about the patterns formed by this fungus that always attracts my attention when I see them. I've tried shooting some compositions of these fungi a number of times and been disapointed with my results.

Congrats on getting a terrific shot (& for showing me there is an image in these 'shrooms after all!)

Wow! This is one of the most amazing displays of color in a plant or floral image I've seen. The patterns throughout this really makes this a winner to me. Outstanding work!

This is amazing Lance, the color lines and textures are wonderful, I would crop off just a touch of the top part of your image and it would be perfect. Fantastic work. :toast:

Wow! I never would have guessed those were "plants", I like the composition with the fern to give a little hint as to what thet are.

Quite spectacular subject, congratulations on finding this. Given the orientation of elements, there was obviously some depth of field limitations before the further fungi focus became too soft. Thus your largest usable print size was likely a shot of the 2/3 frame from the bottom of the nearer fungi closely behind the fern. ...David

Lance, Fabulous colors and the inclusion of the curved fern frond makes the image.

I have never seen such colorful fungi.
