Lily - my nod to Bill Fach

Hi all.

This last week we have been seeing some record cold temps here in our neck of the woods. That fact sent me to the flower store Saturday morning to find a subject that I could do some shooting with.

When I saw this Lily, I thought of the shots that Bill Fach has posted in the past. I bought it and a huge gerbera daisy. They were some fun shooting over the weekend. Only $6 and I did not have to spend any gas money!

Any thoughts appreciated!

Nice use of backlight giving this other worldly glow which makes the shallow dof work nicely

Great use of a tough to find plane of focus to get this to work. Light and colors compliment this as well. Great shot here!

Thank you all for the thoughts and comments, and kind words. After looking at this more, this is actually a bit more orange (a little bit more warm) than I remember. I think might cool it down a bit.
