Sailing into Flames

The storm was breaking up as the sun set behind the distant mountains and the tug was barely visible. I had to use the maximum zoom to see the tug but then couldn't see enough of the scene so I shot two portrait photos and stitched them. Both frames shot at f5.0, 1/80.

Love the mixture of warm and cool colors. Also like how the mountain ridges are peeking through the clouds. Beautiful scene.

Beautiful scene, and great warm colors. There seems to be quite a bit of noise in the mountains though.

Bill; unfortunately the light levels put me in a bad range for my old 707 where it is particularly noisy

Gary, I like the photo as is, I think the noise adds to the atmosphere of the passing storm. Echoing other posts about colours and comp, good stuff.
