I hung my fuzzy black coat liner over the tripod behind this blueberry branch, exposed the shot as light as I could without clipping, then later, with PSP I dropped the brightness down to realistic levels which turned the background darker black with only a few highlights. Then I used the rgb selector with about 10% tolerance to select the background without getting any of the leaves and turned it solid black. A little soft cloning to fade out the stem and this was the result. I don't normally get into the processing too heavy but this was a fun experiment.

Looks like a studio still-life (and that`s a good thing). As to presentation here, I`d be tmpted to try the black backdrop choice and just one thin (1pix) green frame around the image.

Well, that made me hungry! I could just about taste those berries. As a portrait of blueberries au naturel, this is great.
