Taken on a very cold day in Kingston, Ontario by the Murney Tower along the shore of Lake Ontario.
Camera Canon 300D, F4, 1/1250s, ISO 200, 17-40L @ 19mm

Adjusted image in photoshop and then de-saturated it.

Cheers,

MarcB

Marc,

a nice image and my only wish would have been to see the bench a bit more to the left...

Gosh one comment on this lovely photo??? Love it Marc  - especially the blue/gray gradient in the sky and the fine texture of the tree's canopy. Very inviting scene even on a cold day. Like Cay-Uwe I'd like to see the whole shadow of the bench - but I think by pulling back a little on all sides to keep the tree framed as you have.

Thank you Cay-Uwe and Julie for your comments, when I was composing this photo I did try to capture the whole shadow, unfortunatly due to the angle of the sun at this time of the year the shadow is veryyyy long  So I decided on this composition, lose on the shadow but gained in the framing.

Cheers,

Marc, nicely done! I really like the desaturation, and I concur with your choice of framing.
