White Ibis & Flounder

This will be familiar to some of the old-timers :) Sorry I haven't been in the field in a while. The Ibis was photographed at Estero Lagoon in Ft. Myers and literally plopped down in front of my camera with his catch. Lucky catch for both of us - not so good for the fish.

EOS3, 400 f/5.6, Sensia100, blurred grain in the BG.

I’d be very surprised if anyone posts any nits about this lovely capture. The bird alone would have made a very nice image, add the fish and you certainly got a winner.

Thanks for sharing

Gloria, I remember this one...and I still like it a lot. Without the fish this would have made a very decent image of this Ibis but the fish really turns this into an absolute winner. Nice catch...for you AND the Ibis

Gloria, this is really a great photo. I think birdphotos with their prey are among the best, and this would even go great without the flounder. Thanks for sharing!

Superb shot, :toast:
The fish in the beak makes an otherwise excellant image just that bit special.
Look forward to seeing some more.

Absolutely gorgeous Gloria! Certianly a great catch for you both!
:toast: I like the bewildered look he has and the eye color closely matching the BG, actually I like everything but these are the iceing IMO!

What a killer shot - and not only for the fish. Tack sharp and smooth BG. Thanks for sharing.
