Babies Came Back!

Barn Swallows nest under the eaves of my large front porch every year.  Last year, we had 5 babies live and fledge.  This year, they all came back with Mama and Daddy.   I checked online and, although they are mature at 1 yr., they are not very fertile....So, some tag along and help babysit the next year's babies with their parents.

This little guy was one of my favorites.  He was never afraid of me.  I am sitting just under the lamplight, that he is perched on.  I shined a little flashlight on him to get his true colors, and I really liked this shot.   Hope you do, too.crying

It's a nice tight look at this swallow, Lucy.  The pose is good and the colors look right as well.
