I was shooting fall colors last fall, and decided to try this classic composition at night with a little light painting with my head lamp. As luck a plane was flying overhead as I caught the Image. Taken in Chaffee County, Colorado

Well done!  Spooky scene.  Now I have to try it!  Thanks for sharing.

Michael,  the mixture of lights looks good with a fine array of trees leaning in and a good clear opening for the sky.  The airplane is a neat addition to the stars with both showing well in the larger view.  I do think that some burning-in of the brightest trees would let the stars and airplane play a stronger role.

I like the design that the trees make. The red line from the plane is barely visible on my screen though I'm not in a darkened room. While the tree trunks are very blue, it makes an interesting image.
