Western Maine, stopped my car to let a deer pass over the road, got out of my car to photograph and swish... this GBH flies by.

Nice capture in a "swish", Norma!  Most of the time when something unexpected presents itself, I miss the shot.

Nice reaction.  Like Shirley, most of the time when happens to me I am just standing there and saying that was nice.
I really like the GBH over laying the street.  Nice work.

Normally a background to be avoided, but the "swish" of the centerline makes a nice graphic element, and the colors work so well.

Very cool, Norma.  I really like the lane striping and the way you managed to catch the bird framed between the center stripe and the edge.

Very different image from the usual Norma. You were able to capture the egret between the middle and edge lanes, which makes for a fine composition. I also like that the color tones of the heron are reflected in the backdrop.
