Pond Cypress Natural Area, FL

I tend not to modify image content too much, so I didn't clone out the two sprouts. Opinions?

Raw file processed in LRClassicCC. TK resize/sharpening for web.

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

I like the hint of clouds reflecting on the water, and the quality of light on the reeds. To me, it feels a little tight on the bottom.  Your image has a nice simplicity.

Very appealing simplicity in the composition.  I also like the way the smaller plants echo the larger ones.  Not much to offer other than maybe playing with some vignetting and maybe seeing if it adds anything to the light and the way the eye moves in the image.

You did a really nice job with this, Ronald.  I think the diagonal presentation and the square crop are perfect.  I agree with Doug, in that it could use more canvas on the bottom.  I’m a sucker for these kind of images.  I love the soft light and I’m glad you didn’t clone the sprouts.  They are my favorite part of the image.

Thanks to all who commented on this and on previous photos. I deeply appreciate your suggestions. I re-cropped this photo to include more image, which I did not do before because it required considerable cloning to maintain the simplicity.

I like the small reeds on the bottom and would not clone them out. I feel the image is a bit too simple and doesn't invite the mind for much imagination. Otherwise it's a nice clean composition with good tonality and color.

I do like the re-crop and the addition of more of the reflected reeds (especially the smaller curved auburn reed).  A relaxing scene that may be worth a trial print.

Ronald, there a fine, quiet, contemplative mood to this, with the small "extra" adding a fine touch of extra interest.  The extra reflections look great in the repost as well as adding some additional interest.  I think that was well worth the cloning effort.

A thought provoking image ... different from everyday fare ... and very enjoyable.

The sprouts don't bother me at all.  I really like the lovely reflections here, in fact I would like to have seen a bit more of those reflections.  Also, it seems a bit close down by the sprouts; would like a little more room there...but still a neat image.
