Red wolf check up

This is one of three red wolf pups born at the Miller Park Zoo, central Illinois, this year.  This cub has a slight limp, so the vets were asked to check it out.  Nothing serious.  The fate of the red wolf recovery program is itself endangered with the USFW proposing to reduce protection.

Canon 7D Mark II
Canon EF-S18-135mm @ 32mm
1/250 @ F-4.5 ISO 200  On camera flash.

Nice image and a cute pup, John.  Wolf Haven International, which is just down the road a few miles is also involved in that recovery program.

Nice look at this handsome animal John.  Sure hope they get the protection they need.
