Kingfisher at Dawn

This handsome Brown-hooded Kingfisher was illuminated by some of the first rays of dawn sunshine as we slowly approached it last month on a photo boat on the Chobe River in Botswana.  Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF500mm f/4L IS II USM, AV exposure, f/8 at 1/1000th, ISO 1600.
