I think I have it the name assigned to the correct bird this time.  Another from the Nome trip and the road up Anvil Mountain.  The shrubs along the road were quite productive.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held balanced on car window, f/8, 1/3200, iso 1600 (the sun came out on us and I hadn't adjusted yet), pattern metering, aperture priority,  -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 9.8 MP.  I know the background is very busy, but I like the way the colors of the branches work with the browns in the plumage.  Taken at 8:14 am on June, 6th.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Good colors and sharpness.  I do think you could crop out some of the stuff on the right hand side.  But, also like it as it is.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice bird-in-habitat shot, Dennis! I love the way the birds colors come back in the surroundings. Well done ! Cheers, Hans

A lovely in-habitat shot of this fox sparrow in nice light, with good colours and sharpness.
