Cloud Dance

Here is another image that I will share from my recent trip to Grand Teton National Park.  This is from the same general area as my previous post but was taken a few days earlier.  I started out this morning shooting sunrise at Oxbow Bend, but there was some lingering moody light that lasted well into the morning so I took advantage of that as much as possible.  For this image I was drawn to the spotlighting on the peaks as well as the sweeping lines and contrasting tones in the clouds.  I felt the foreground added just the right amount of color to balance out the frame.  The elegant lines in the clouds reminded me of dancers.

As always all comments and critiques are welcome!  crying

Brian, that is a nice overlook with the water coursing through the foreground.  Your processing looks natural and good.

Again a classical composition and nice presentation of the majestic mountains for me, Brian. While the light in the distance draws my attention first and makes for an appealing focal point, the foreground details just make the difference for me and lead me through the whole composition. I like the natural look of the scene a lot.

Beautiful natural looking scene is quite enticing. The foreground richness leading to the mountains makes the image for me. As an alternative, I might consider cropping the sky a little bit to further emphasize the fore and mid ground.

A grand view of the Grand.  Like the layers of green in the FG and the angular light to add texture and depth to the image.  Love those clouds.

The large view really makes the clouds come to life. Nice comp. Different  from the usual view of the tetons.

Brian, This is a beautiful scene and you captured it so well. The large version makes one feel like they are right there! Really nice processing on this. Like others I love the wonderful natural and inviting look and feel. devil
