White-crowned Sparrow

Taken at Haceta Lighthouse (Oregon) in a grassy area at the base of the lighthouse.  I was probably twenty feet away and the sparrow didn't seem to mind my quiet presence.  I couldn't move around, so I had to wait until he presented a reasonable angle, though I would have liked a bit more personality.

Canon 7D Mark II
Sigma 15-600 at 200 mm
1/1000 at f5.6
ISO 320

Thanks for looking.  Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Wonderful comp, the flowers really compliment the sparrow well. Excellent feather detail in the large version.

I like your self critique and the quality of the photo as well. The daisy's add a lot to this image, IMO.

I think it's really difficult to take images of birds in the grass and make them look decent.  This one looks really good because of the flowers.  Although I saw white crowned sparrows around my place last year, none so far this year.

I love the setting, Allen.  I do wish you'd been able to get a bit lower angle.  This species is weird.  Sometimes they show all kinds of personality, then other individuals just don't seem to display any at all.
