Micro Mountain
by Mike Ramy
'Micro Mountain'
At first glance, this may appear to be an image of fall foliage on a snow covered mountain side while it is actually a small, lichen covered sandstone boulder perched on the side of the Grand Canyon. This caught my eye on our trip last September and I took 3 images with a lite fill flash to see what might happen. Thought it fit this WC well so I went back and found the files and worked one of the images into this pano at 60% of full frame.
