This Gaudy grasshopper seemed to be taking on a shade ..from a blade of grass, on a rainy day. this one kept moving ..and making me recompose several times....thought i will balance the comp by adding the leaf to the right and the stalk marginally to the left ..
Daylight white balance and cloudy conditions make the colors pop a little

C&C Welcome on any day

Excellent environmental image.  Superb camouflage for this critter.  Wonderful background and nicely composed.

What a cool creature, Balan, and thanks for sharing this. Super camouflage and something I would surely miss hugging the perch like that looking like part of the grass. Care to share the techs?

Now that's a great disguise!  Pretty amazing that you found this critter, Balan.  The image is great.  I like the leaf at the top and the finely coordinated background.

Quite a challenge well met to separate out this guy from his environment. Superbly done.

Great capture, Balan.  It was worth the effort you went through to recompose until you got this shot, as well as your post processing.  Well done.

This one is exceptional Balan. Amazing how well it blends in on the grass. It really does pop as you say. Nice.
