Dragonfly Eating Lunch
by Shirley Freeman
I just shot this out in our yard in North Carolina. I saw him on a limb and was going to see if I could get a good shot of him up close to show off his pretty eyes. Then I discovered that he was having lunch! Shot handheld with my Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 100 mm L Macro lens with KX-800 twin flash and homemade diffuser. Settings are f16, 1/125, ISO 320. Edited lightly in Lightroom and NIK, and cropped to 86% of original. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Please view in large version for best results. Thank you.

8 commentsAwesome image. Big view shows off the details very well. I like it and your home-made diffuser did the trick for getting those subtle highlights
Congrats

In the large version, the eye detail is EXCEPTIONAL.
VERY hard to catch these guys still.
Congrats on a fine WP!
