Landscape is one area I fear treading into, and let alone black and white. Well, I would appreciate honest critiques. Used nik to convert.
It was a monotonous scene..

The tones and textures in the rock are quite nice, and you did a good job on the conversion. I am on the fence with the dark area on the right and the foreground. I suggest a crop that eliminates those. At least to me, the nice shapes in the rock are the star of the show.

I also think you did a good job with the conversion. Good detail and there is nice contrast between the lighter tones at the bottom and the rock. I think it would be a stronger composition without the darker area on the right.

No need to fear, Balan. This is a fine image with good tonal variation and texture. I would try to tease more info fro the dark area, otherwise crop it out. Just a tad more room on the bottom would be desirable.
PS I like your title.

Interesting shot. Lots of nice textures to explore. I would probably crop off the dark area on the right.

The reflected light off the the rock works very well for me in this and highlights the texture. Maybe a crop off the far right as those shadows don't seem to work with the rest of the image. Could see a tighter view of some of teh rock areas for an increased abstract - especially the center left.

Balan, the shapes and textures are a perfect subject for B&W. And you have done a good job of processing here, capturing a good range of tones. I also think you have done a great job of finding a very interesting subject for B&W. I agree with some of the others comments about minimizing the dark area to the right. I like this as presented, but I think you could also extract some other compositions from this shot that eliminate the sand and focus only on the wonderful textures in the rock.

Balan, the textures in the rocks show up very well in the larger version. You're conversion looks good with a full range of tones. The sand at the bottom adds nicely in the larger version. I agree with the others that cropping the shadow on the right would be good. The weathering pattern in the rocks is great.

You should tread here more often! This is a unique capture that keeps me guessing about exactly what I am looking at. Nicely composed and your B&W processing looks good too!

Looks like a good choice to go BW. I think the patterns work well here Balan, and a crop dropping the snow on the bottom and the dark on the right is an interesting abstract too.
