This is another from northern AZ. It is a broader view of the amazing rock in the area.

Harley, That rock really is amazing. Might have to try and get there one of these days! This is a great composition and those colors are absolutely wonderful. The light and textured feel just as wonderful. Very, very nice!

Great color; great texture; great comp. If a vertical with upper right at top and some water, reminds me of a water slide.

The use of the diagonal lines is very effective.  DOF looks good throughout which can be difficult with these types of images.

Harley, very nice indeed. I really like this one a lot. The DOF is very impressive if this was a single take. Still impressive if it was a stack too. Or, was it a single 4x5 using tilt and swing?.....sad
I especially like how you brought the ribs or rolls out of the URHC here. That to me makes this really work well....enlightened

Looking really good overall......laugh

I like this one very much, and considerably more than the previous abstract. The colors are richer; the texture more prominent; and the composition is stronger. For some reason this reminds me of wood. Great job.

This should be large and on the wall. How DID you get the DOF?

Love this composition.  It doesn't look like rock.  Not sure what, something living maybe. cool  The texture and color is super, and yes, the DOF is amazing! Nice!

"More than a rock" someone would say. I really like how you compose the image, Harley. Great colors and lines.

The large version appears to be a tad sharper, with a little bit higher contrast, and looks great. The sweeping curves and undulations are key here. The color looks very nice, and not overdone. Nice job, Mr. H..

Hi Harley,

The large version is a must see.  Colors and details are excellent.  I especially like your composition as presented.  Well worth several cold onesdevil...................................Jim

Very nice Harley. The lines give the image a very strong 3-dimensional feel. I am also enjoying the sense of movement, along with the lovely soft colors.

Harley, I agree with the other's comments about the wonderful sense of depth created by this image.  Working with reflected light like this can create some wonderful color pallettes. I love the way you have handled the purple and blue tones in this image, they create such a wonderful contrast against the warmer tones in this scene. Great job on the depth of field here too, nicely done.

Shades of Tony Kuyper, here, Harley.  You've got a great mix of lovely, subtle colors in the rock and a great sense of movement with the angled, curved lines.

Wonderful diagonals and warm colors with superb detail in the sandstone.  This one almost looks like the painted eucalyptus bark image I posted several weeks ago.  The light here is fantastic.

Love this Harley!  You been hanging out with TK recently? enlightened  Great lines here and I really like the soft and more muted colors here, but still showing the wide range of colors.  Hard to be critical here.  Sorry, for such a late response.

Another great image from this area, Harley.  What a productive day this must have been!  I like the energy in this one, and it feels totally different than the other. The other one is all triangles and edges, very geometric, and this one is sinuous and flowing.  It does feel like a cross-section of wood, with cambium layer, etc.

I'm hesitant to suggest anything, but the reflective light in that middle area is a little distracting to me.  It could be my monitor, but if you can do something that approximates the effect of a polarizer there, I think it would be an improvement.

The textures of this are really intriguing Harley.  Color is understated, but great.  The diagonal lines really lead you through this shot too.  Simple scene, but really complex details.

Dynamic composition Harley.  I also love the subtle light - that blue light is so smooth.
