Female Red Finch

I am getting some Red Finch visiting my yard now that I have a feeder up with food that they like.  This female perched in the blooming pear tree yesterday in the midst of the heavy winds we were getting.  Taken through the window with my Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 100-400 mm L lens at 400 mm, f5.6, 1/500, ISO 200.  Cropped to around 70% of original.  I liked the way the sun was hitting her.  Comments and suggestions welcome.

The bird shows much, much better in the larger image, Shirley.  I love the spring background.  A very welcome image.

This does have a nice spring feel to it.  And I agree with Dennis that it shows much better as a larger image.  People in the Pacific Northwest are getting antsy about the arrival of spring.  Although some of the flowering plums have started to bloom in some areas, I have not yet seen that in my neighborhood.  This typically happens in mid-February and here we are one week into March without any flower action.  The song sparrows are practicing their calls so there is some hope...
