Escaping Winter

A flock of ducks stopped by the tide flats for a rest stop on their way down South.  They were a long way away from me but I took a shot anyway as they departed for the next leg of their trip.  I only caught one duck in this shot but I liked it because of the mountains in the background.

Sony a6500, FE 70-200 GM w/2X @ 396 mm, ISO-100, f/5.6, 1/1000, hand held.

A neat take on the challenge, Gary.  It certainly has a cold feel to it-even the water looks icy.  I like the placement of the duck in the frame.

Gary, I think the single duck against the sea/mountain background creates a great sense of place.  The bird stands out very well and the icy mountain and rough sea sure do look cold.
