Unusual find juvenile Iceland Gull (he is on the right) on Merrimack River in Massachusetts. He is floating on an ice float with another juvenile gull, I think Ring-Billed. Winter migration for this bird he will fly back to the Arctic when weather becomes warmer.

Happy to see him "lifer" for me.

Looks like they're riding on paddle boards, Norma!  Nice capture with excellent exposure and detail.  It's obviously in the winter also.

Looks cold enough to fit the challenge, Norma.  Interesting about the two species of gulls.  Nice catch.

A real nice look at these two gulls.  Definitely a good environmental and behavioral image.  I might add a tiny bit more canvas to the left side to even out the distance between the two birds and the sides of the frame.

Iding juvenile gulls is quite a challenge, Norma.  A great find especially riding this ice flow with a "friend".  The detail in water look good.  The extra canvas is a good improvement.
