Red-tail Taking Off

Found this mature Red-tail in a pasture along a local country road.  It was just revving to take off in this image.  I liked its intense look as it readied itself to take the leap.  D500, 150-600 @ 600, f7.1, 1/2500, ISO 1000.  Thanks in advance for any comments or critique.

Beautiful stop action shot of this hawk, Jim.  I too like the intense look. The background is perfectly smooth, making him really stand out.

Great pre-action shot Jim. Intense like a coiled spring ready to launch. Nice detail and nice BG.

Very cool catch, Jim.  The head is tack sharp and the pose is priceless.  Well done.

Very cool frame Jim. The pre-launch pose is pretty dynamic and the background is perfect. Nice work!
